With over 25 years of expertise, she will lead Arvind’s human capital strategy, focusing on building an inclusive workplace, developing leadership talent, and driving purpose-led growth across the organisation.
Sunitha is widely recognised for her people-first approach and her deep understanding of how purpose and process shape strong organisational culture. Her appointment reinforces Arvind Limited’s commitment to nurturing talent and sustaining its legacy as one of India’s most respected and innovative conglomerates known for its focus on sustainability and progressive people practices.
Before joining Arvind Limited, Sunitha served as CHRO at Ather Energy, where she played a key role in shaping the organisation’s culture from the ground up. She established leadership frameworks, values, and people systems that contributed to Ather’s success as a leading player in the electric mobility space.
Her career also includes senior HR leadership roles at Matrimony.com Limited, Mphasis, AIG, and Societe Generale. In these roles, she led large-scale transformation programmes and talent development initiatives that enhanced organisational effectiveness and employee engagement.
Beyond her professional achievements, Sunitha is also an author, storyteller, and speaker. Her book Dotting the Blemish and Other Stories reflects her passion for exploring human emotions and relationships. She is a long-standing member of Group Relations India (GRI), where she continues to study the deeper, unconscious dynamics that influence individuals and organisations.
