Sunil Jose Appointed as President at Workday India

Workday has announced the appointment of Sunil Jose as President of India, reinforcing its long-term commitment to expanding in the region. This leadership move highlights the company’s strategic focus on India as a crucial hub for innovation, talent, and artificial intelligence growth.

Bringing with him over three decades of experience, Jose has held leadership roles at leading global technology firms including Salesforce, IBM, Oracle, and BrowserStack. His deep knowledge of enterprise technology, market expansion, and partnership ecosystems positions him well to lead Workday’s go-to-market strategy and overall operations across India.

India continues to play a central role in Workday’s international plans, and Jose’s appointment comes as part of a broader investment strategy in the country. Workday has recently scaled its local sales teams, strengthened its partner ecosystem, and established a domestic data centre, signalling India’s growing significance as both a customer market and a talent powerhouse.

Rob Enslin, President and Chief Commercial Officer at Workday, stated, “India is central to Workday’s international growth roadmap. With Sunil’s understanding of the region’s dynamic economy and digital priorities, he is well-positioned to lead our next phase of expansion.”

Sharing his thoughts on the new role, Sunil Jose said, “India is not just a market—it’s a catalyst for global scale and innovation. Workday’s human-centric culture and commitment to elevating human potential through AI is deeply aligned with the transformative ambitions of Indian businesses.”

Jose will be based in Mumbai and will report to Simon Tate, President of APAC at Workday.
