Axis Max Life Insurance has announced the appointment of Sumit Madan as its new Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, with his tenure commencing on October 1, 2025. Madan will succeed Prashant Tripathy, who is retiring early from his position.
Sumit Madan brings over 25 years of extensive leadership experience within the financial services sector. His distinguished career includes holding pivotal roles at esteemed institutions such as Citi, AU Small Finance Bank, and IDFC FIRST Bank. Since joining Axis Max Life Insurance in February 2024 as Chief Distribution Officer, he has been a key figure in guiding the company’s growth trajectory.
