In line with this approach, Sudarshan Chemical Industries Limited (SCIL) has announced the establishment of a new Global Capability Center (GCC) in collaboration with Genpact.
The new GCC, located in Pune, will serve as a centralized hub by integrating enterprise functions that were previously spread across different locations. Through this move, Sudarshan aims to improve coordination across geographies, strengthen governance and decision-making, ensure consistent execution, and better support commitments to global customers.
Designed to evolve alongside the company’s growth strategy, the GCC will introduce standardized processes, stronger operational controls, and scalable digital frameworks. The initiative is expected to enhance long-term efficiency, resilience, and execution discipline across operations.
Rajesh Rathi, Global Chairman and Managing Director of Sudarshan Chemical, emphasized, “As we scale globally, operational excellence becomes a critical differentiator. Our GCC in Pune represents a strategic investment in strengthening process efficiency and execution discipline across the organization. In partnership with Genpact, this center will help us deliver faster, smarter, and more consistently for our customers, while reinforcing a culture of continuous improvement and customer excellence.”
The center will support Sudarshan’s global operations beyond India by enabling tighter functional alignment and preparing the organization for future automation and digital transformation initiatives.
Genpact will play a major role in consolidating and continuously improving enterprise processes within the GCC framework. Diwakar Singhal, Global Business Leader for Manufacturing at Genpact, noted, “The launch of Sudarshan’s Global Capability Center marks an important step in our shared journey and reflects our long-term partnership. By combining Genpact’s deep chemical manufacturing expertise, process intelligence, and domain-led AI and agentic capabilities, we are helping Sudarshan strengthen governance, improve execution, and build an operating model that can adapt and scale globally.”
The initiative also builds on Sudarshan’s global expansion, including the acquisition of the Heubach Group in 2025, which expanded its international presence and customer reach. Together, these efforts support the company’s ambition to operate as a global pigment leader while creating a digitally enabled and globally integrated enterprise model.
