Stax Appoints Payments Veteran Kevin Wall as New CFO to Drive Strategic Growth

Stax, a leading payment technology provider, has announced the appointment of Kevin Wall as its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Wall, a seasoned finance executive with extensive experience at industry giants like Paysafe and FIS, steps into the role to spearhead Stax’s ambitious “next chapter of strategic expansion.”

The appointment, announced on Wednesday (June 11), comes at a pivotal time for Stax, which currently processes over $30 billion in payments and serves more than 30,000 businesses and software platforms across the U.S. and Canada. Stax CEO Paulette Rowe emphasized Wall’s crucial role in the company’s future.

“Kevin’s combination of financial leadership and industry expertise makes him ideally positioned to support our next phase of growth,” Rowe stated. She added, “As we prepare to launch as an end-to-end payments processor and expand our multichannel offerings, his leadership and experience will play a critical role in scaling our operations and delivering even greater value to our partners and merchants.”

Wall brings over 35 years of financial leadership experience, with more than 15 years specifically in the payments sector. Before joining Stax, he served as CFO of Paysafe’s payments processing division and held various leadership positions at FIS for over a decade. His deep understanding of complex financial structures and multi-channel sales and operations is expected to be a significant asset to Stax.

Expressing his enthusiasm for the new role, Wall highlighted Stax’s innovative approach. “There couldn’t be a more exciting time in the payments industry, and what drew me to Stax was its innovative spirit and commitment to unlocking next-level growth for its customers,” Wall commented. He continued, “I look forward to bringing my experience to a company that’s already achieved considerable success and helping to accelerate its financial strategy as we continue to broaden and deepen our capabilities.”

Wall’s appointment is the latest in a series of strategic hires for Stax’s executive leadership team, which has seen the addition of other payments industry veterans like Valentin Neiconi as Chief Risk Officer and Mark Sundt as Chief Technology Officer in 2024.
