Srini Gopalan Appointed as Chief Executive Officer at T-Mobile

T-Mobile has named Srini Gopalan as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective November 1, 2025. Gopalan, who currently serves as Chief Operating Officer at the company, brings with him extensive international leadership experience across major telecom and business organisations.

During his tenure at Deutsche Telekom, Srini held several senior roles, including Board Member for Germany and Managing Director of Telekom Deutschland GmbH. He also served as Board Member responsible for Europe, where he oversaw operations in multiple countries such as Greece, Hungary, Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Croatia, Romania, Austria, Macedonia, and Montenegro.

Before joining Deutsche Telekom, Srini contributed to leadership growth in other leading telecom companies. He was Consumer Director at Bharti Airtel Foundation and Vodafone, and he also served as Chief Marketing Officer at T-Mobile UK, where he played a key role in the landmark joint venture with Orange, known as everything-everywhere.

Earlier in his career, Srini held leadership roles in other global organisations. He was Senior Vice President and Managing Director at Capital One UK, Senior Manager at Accenture, and Area Sales Manager at Unilever India.

Industry observers note that his appointment as CEO highlights T-Mobile’s continued focus on operational excellence, innovation, and customer-centric growth.
