SpaceX Set to Launch Starlink Internet Services in Vietnam by Q4 2025

SpaceX is preparing to roll out its Starlink satellite internet services in Vietnam starting from the fourth quarter of 2025, according to a government official. The Ministry of Science and Technology plans to issue a license for pilot services using low-Earth orbit satellites as soon as the company completes its investment procedures and sets up a legal entity in the country.

Deputy Minister Pham Duc Long said, “The Ministry of Science and Technology aims to license the pilot services using low-orbit satellites immediately after the investor completes investment procedures and establishes a legal entity in Vietnam, with the goal of deploying the services in the fourth quarter of 2025.”

Currently, SpaceX is working with the Ministry of Finance to complete all necessary formalities for establishing a wholly-owned subsidiary in Vietnam.

Earlier this year, two sources revealed that SpaceX was in the process of building a ground station in Vietnam to support its Starlink operations, with plans for more in the future.

In March, Vietnam’s government approved SpaceX’s proposal to launch Starlink services in the country on a trial basis. The trial will continue through the end of 2030 and has no cap on foreign ownership, allowing SpaceX full operational control.
