Sophrosyne Technologies raises 2 million dollars in seed funding to boost semiconductor development

Semiconductor startup Sophrosyne Technologies has secured two million dollars in a seed funding round led by Bluehill VC. The Bengaluru based company recently completed technical diligence and received a MeitY DLI grant worth one point two million dollars.

Sophrosyne Technologies said the new capital will help it move from prototype silicon to full scale development and global original equipment manufacturer engagement. The funds will also support expansion across silicon design, firmware development, and early customer deployments in India and international markets.

Founded in twenty twenty two by Manish Srivastava and Jatin Gupta, Sophrosyne Technologies is a fabless semiconductor company building an advanced biosensing system on chip for wearable and digital health devices. Its architecture integrates analogue signal acquisition, power management, and software support to help device makers create more efficient and capable health monitoring products.

Sophrosyne Technologies is developing a unified multi vital biosensing system on chip that can measure ECG, PPG, respiration, temperature and related signals with high precision and very low energy use. By combining multiple sensing functions into a compact design, the startup enables wearables to offer deeper and more continuous health insights while using a smaller silicon footprint.

“Having a deep tech investor like Bluehill VC, backed by leaders such as Vinod Dham, Manu Iyer and Sridhar Parthasarathi gives us access to world class semiconductor guidance that few startups can tap into. Beyond capital, Bluehill VC brings discipline, clarity and the ability to help us scale this technology globally,” said Manish Srivastava, co founder and chief executive officer of Sophrosyne.

Bluehill VC is a Chennai based deep tech focused venture capital firm with a fund size of three hundred and fifty crore rupees. It invests in intellectual property led engineering and science areas across energy, electric vehicles, nuclear, semiconductors, material science, defence, space, water, manufacturing, robotics, industrial and internet of things.
