Sonata Software, a global IT services and consulting company, has announced a strategic collaboration with the Wharton AI & Analytics Initiative (WAIAI) to deepen the understanding and application of agentic artificial intelligence (AI) in enterprise operations.
As WAIAI’s newest Thought Leadership Partner, Sonata Software will engage in an academic-industry dialogue and collaborative learning to explore the opportunities and challenges presented by agentic AI. This partnership aims to bridge the gap between cutting-edge academic research and practical enterprise implementation.
A key focus of the collaboration will be the joint evaluation of agentic AI systems. This will include rigorous examination of critical aspects such as AI governance, regulatory compliance, the dynamics of human-AI collaboration, and the broader challenges of enterprise adoption. The goal is to ensure responsible and effective integration of AI into business processes.
Furthermore, the partnership will involve refining Sonata’s AgentBridge, a modular architecture designed for agentic AI. This refinement will emphasize embedding robust compliance and ethical safeguards within the system. Sonata Software will also support the continued expansion of WAIAI’s research initiatives in artificial intelligence, contributing to the broader advancement of the field.
Samir Dhir, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Sonata Software, said: “We’re excited to collaborate with the Wharton AI & Analytics Initiative to explore the evolving capabilities of agentic systems within enterprise environments. This partnership reinforces our commitment to responsible AI by blending Sonata Software’s platform-driven innovation with academic insight and by jointly examining how agentic systems can be responsibly adopted to deliver measurable business impact.”
This partnership highlights the growing importance of interdisciplinary collaboration to navigate the complexities and maximize the benefits of emerging AI technologies in the business world.
