Skyroot Aerospace partners with Exolaunch to deliver end-to-end satellite launch services

Germany-based Exolaunch has partnered with Hyderabad’s Skyroot Aerospace to offer comprehensive satellite launch services using Skyroot’s Vikram series of launch vehicles, starting with Vikram-1. The collaboration aims to enhance launch flexibility, improve mission efficiency, and provide reliable access to space for commercial, institutional, and government customers around the world.

Robert W. Sproles, Ph.D., CEO of Exolaunch, said, “Skyroot’s Vikram rockets bring an impressive new capability and much-anticipated launch capacity to the global launch ecosystem,” stressing the joint commitment to providing dependable and cost-efficient access to orbit.

As part of the agreement, Exolaunch will deploy its proven satellite deployment systems and EXOtube payload stacks to support both dedicated and rideshare missions. This integrated approach will help streamline constellation deployment and reduce the time between satellite integration and launch.

Pawan Kumar Chandana, co-founder and CEO of Skyroot Aerospace, said, “Democratising access to space requires an integrated solution that seamlessly addresses every aspect of a satellite customer’s journey, from mission planning to integration to launch.”

The announcement follows Skyroot’s recent progress with its Orbital Adjustment Module, which has successfully completed stage-level testing. The company is also preparing for the next phase of launches with Vikram-2, designed to carry payloads of up to 900 kilograms to low Earth orbit.

This strategic partnership combines Skyroot’s indigenous launch vehicle technology with Exolaunch’s global expertise in mission management and satellite deployment. Together, they aim to make satellite launches more accessible, efficient, and cost-effective for the growing small satellite market.
