SK Telecom Partners with TimeTree to Expand AI Agent Services Globally

SK Telecom has announced a strategic partnership and investment agreement with TimeTree, a global schedule-sharing platform, on September 5 to jointly develop AI agent services.

TimeTree, which operates a popular schedule-sharing application of the same name, has around 67 million users worldwide and continues to grow rapidly.

As part of this collaboration, SK Telecom plans to apply its AI agent technologies and commercialization expertise, developed through its service A. (A-DOT), to the TimeTree platform. This includes the Agentic Workflow system, introduced in A. in August 2025, which will now be implemented in TimeTree. The move marks the first application of SK Telecom’s AI agent technology in an overseas service.

Agentic Workflow is designed to take AI agents beyond simple task execution. Instead of only responding to user requests, it sets goals based on user activity history, then sequentially plans and carries out the necessary steps. The framework is widely recognised in the industry as a key approach to improving AI agent capabilities.

Through this partnership, SK Telecom aims to bring new features to TimeTree, including proactive recommendations and personalised calendar management. The long-term vision is to transform TimeTree into an active AI platform that can suggest optimised activities and events based on users’ schedules, usage patterns, and preferences.

Alongside the partnership, SK Telecom will invest JPY 2.2 billion in TimeTree. The company views TimeTree’s extensive global user base and rich data resources as critical to advancing its AI agent services and expanding internationally. This investment is expected to strengthen SK Telecom’s foothold in the global AI market.

Commenting on the alliance, Chajin Park, CEO of TimeTree, said, “The essence of TimeTree’s AI agent is to use schedules as natural action triggers. SK Telecom recognized both our unique approach and the value of our 67-million-user dataset, making SK Telecom not only our lead investor but also a true strategic partner. This alliance marks a turning point as we expand from Japan to Korea and beyond, leading a new paradigm of schedule-centered AI.”

Ryu Young-sang, CEO of SK Telecom, added, “Partnering with TimeTree offers SK Telecom a powerful opportunity to extend our AI agent technologies into global markets. Together, we will expand the AI ecosystem across Korea, Japan and beyond.”
