Sivakumar Subramanian has assumed the position of Vice President – Global Delivery Head, Cyber Security at HCLTech, representing a significant milestone in the company’s quest for cybersecurity excellence.
With over 25 years of expertise in information security, managed security services, and global delivery, Siva’s appointment highlights HCLTech’s dedication to enhancing its presence in digital risk protection through innovation, scale, and a client-focused approach.
Prior to his role at HCLTech, Siva worked at Accenture for more than seven years in various strategic positions. Most recently, he served as Global Delivery Lead – Cyber Detection and Response Services, managing operations across over 22 Cyber Fusion Centers and SOCs, while advancing next-gen MxDR services powered by automation and GenAl. He also directed cybersecurity delivery on cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud, catering to more than 150 enterprise clients globally.
Earlier in his tenure at Accenture, he was the Managing Director – Cyber Protection Practice, where he led a team of over 2600 professionals and managed the delivery of identity, platform, cloud, and application security for more than 250 global clients. He also initiated the Integrated Cloud Security Services (ICSS) function and played a crucial role in establishing cloud security factories and frameworks for secure cloud adoption.
Before his time at Accenture, he held significant leadership positions at Cognizant, where he was Sr. Director – Enterprise Risk and Security Services, creating a global security practice of over 700 professionals. Siva previously worked with Capgemini, Sapient Corporation, HP, and Satyam, leading large-scale transformation initiatives across security, enterprise content management, and infrastructure modernization.
An alumnus of PMP certification from PMI and a CISM-certified leader (ISACA, USA), Siva is also actively involved in academia as a Board of Studies (BoS) member at Reva University, and regularly shares his expertise at cybersecurity forums throughout the industry.
