SiMa.ai teams up with Kaynes Semicon to scale physical AI manufacturing in India

SiMa.ai has announced a strategic partnership with Kaynes Semicon to expand high-performance Physical AI solutions across India and global markets. The collaboration will combine SiMa.ai’s hardware and software platform with Kaynes Semicon’s OSAT and manufacturing capabilities to deliver advanced AI and machine learning systems.

Under the partnership, the companies will develop Make in India electronic systems for AI and machine learning applications across industrial automation, robotics, automotive, aerospace, and defence. A key focus will be on localising critical semiconductor packaging to strengthen supply chain resilience and reduce time to market.

Krishna Rangasayee, CEO and founder of SiMa.ai, said the company’s strong focus on India is driven by the country’s engineering depth and scale. He added that the partnership supports SiMa.ai’s goal to deliver effortless machine learning for every industry and position India as a “global force in physical AI.”

As part of the collaboration, Kaynes Semicon will design and manufacture production reference boards for SiMa.ai’s MLSoC platforms. This will allow customers and system integrators to quickly evaluate and deploy SiMa.ai’s “push-button” AI inference technology at the edge, helping them move faster from pilot projects to commercial deployments.

Raghu Panicker, CEO of Kaynes Semicon, said the tie-up will play a role in strengthening India’s semiconductor ecosystem. “By fusing Kaynes’ advanced OSAT and manufacturing capabilities with SiMa.ai’s world-leading AI at the edge, we’re empowering critical industries to innovate at scale,” he said. He added that the partnership aims to build a trusted supply chain while delivering defence-focused AI solutions for smart vision, robotics, surveillance, and autonomous systems in India and international markets.
