Dr. Shivkumar Kalyanaraman has been appointed as the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Anusandhan National Research Foundation (ANRF). He replaces Professor Abhay Karandikar, who had been acting as the interim CEO.
The formal handover of responsibilities took place under the leadership of Professor Abhay Karandikar, the Secretary of the Department of Science and Technology (DST). Dr. Kalyanaraman is now set to guide ANRF as it works to promote research and development (R&D) across India.
ANRF’s mission is to build a strong culture of innovation and research in India’s universities, colleges, research institutes, and R&D labs. As CEO, Dr. Kalyanaraman will be responsible for driving strategies that foster scientific research, technological advancements, and partnerships with industries, helping to position India as a global hub for research and development.
Dr. Kalyanaraman is a highly respected figure in the tech and research world, bringing vast expertise to his new role. Prior to his appointment at ANRF, he served as the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) for Microsoft’s Energy Industry division in Asia.
