ShiprocketX Launches DDP Enablement and AI Tool to Support Indian Exporters

ShiprocketX, the cross border shipping arm of Shiprocket, has announced two new initiatives to simplify global trade for Indian exporters. The company has introduced Delivered Duty Paid (DDP) enablement for shipments to the United States and Canada, along with the launch of HSN Vision, an AI based tool that automates duty and tax calculations.

The announcement comes at a time when Indian exporters are dealing with increasing challenges due to tariff changes and complex trade regulations in international markets. Through the new DDP service, exporters will be able to view duties and tariff rates upfront while booking shipments, ensuring compliance at the time of dispatch. This feature also prevents overseas buyers from facing unexpected duties upon delivery, reducing delays and disputes. Shipping charges under this service begin at Rs 375 for 50 grams.

The DDP enablement is aimed at supporting small and medium sized exporters by simplifying customs duty management, lowering compliance risks, and bringing transparency in cross border transactions. Exporters sending shipments to the United States and Canada can now book with full visibility of costs, ensuring smoother and faster deliveries.

Alongside this, ShiprocketX has introduced HSN Vision, an AI powered tool that allows exporters to upload product images for automated identification of Harmonised System of Nomenclature (HSN) codes. The tool instantly calculates applicable duties and taxes, helping reduce errors in product classification and improving efficiency in the export process.

Akshay Ghulati, CEO International Shipping at Shiprocket, said Indian exporters, particularly small businesses, would benefit from these tools as they face challenges under the new tariff regime. He added that these features were launched to help exporters manage compliance and access global markets more effectively.

ShiprocketX stated that the initiatives are part of its wider plan to strengthen technology enabled and asset light infrastructure for Indian exporters. ShiprocketX highlighted that both the DDP enablement and HSN Vision tool are designed to improve ease of doing business and support exporters in expanding to large consumer markets like the United States and Canada.
