Shilpa brings over 18 years of extensive experience in HR leadership across sectors such as financial services, retail, consumer goods, and healthcare.
Before joining NIIT Limited, Shilpa served as Corporate Vice President and Head HR for Axis Partnership at Axis Max Life Insurance Limited, where she led transformative people-focused initiatives. Her efforts played a key role in driving organisational growth and strengthening HR operations.
Shilpa has also held leadership positions at Walmart India Private Limited, where she worked as General Manager of HR, and at Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages Pvt. Ltd., where she managed critical programmes in employee relations, talent acquisition, and organisational development.
Earlier in her career, she spent over six years with GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Healthcare, leading strategic HR projects that focused on leadership development, capability building, and talent management.
Her expertise in culture transformation, digital HR enablement, and leadership capability enhancement is expected to strengthen NIIT Limited’s overall people strategy. Shilpa’s appointment reflects the company’s focus on building a high-performing, future-ready workforce and reinforcing its commitment to organisational excellence.
