IndusInd Bank has announced the appointment of Sheran Mendiratta Mehra as its new Chief Marketing Officer. With over two decades of experience in marketing, communications, and business leadership, she brings deep expertise in brand strategy, customer engagement, and innovative campaign development across financial services, digital platforms, hospitality, and advertising.
In her most recent role at Tata Digital, Sheran served as Chief Business Officer and earlier as Chief Brand Officer and Business Head for Hotels. During her tenure, she played a key role in shaping the company’s brand identity, product strategy, and customer experience across multiple business verticals. Her leadership helped strengthen Tata Digital’s overall brand positioning and customer engagement strategy.
Before joining Tata Digital, Sheran was Executive Director of Group Strategic Marketing and Communications at DBS Bank India, where she led integrated marketing, communications, and CSR initiatives. She also championed social entrepreneurship and contributed to enhancing the bank’s brand visibility in India.
Sheran earlier career includes senior marketing roles at Mahindra Holidays and Resorts India Limited, Dhanlaxmi Bank, Barclays Bank, and HSBC. At Barclays, she was instrumental in developing brand architecture, driving customer acquisition, and launching “Barclays Hello Money,” India’s first mobile banking service.
Sheran began her career in advertising with Ogilvy and Mather and SSC&B Lintas, where she managed campaigns for leading global brands. These early experiences provided her with a strong foundation in consumer insights, brand building, and communication strategy.
Her appointment at IndusInd Bank highlights the bank’s commitment to strengthening its marketing and brand presence while enhancing customer experiences through innovative and multi-channel approaches.
