Shalini Fernandes has been named Head of Human Resources at Crédit Agricole CIB. In her new role, she will lead the strategic setup and growth of the organisation’s Global Capability Center in India. Drawing from nearly 20 years of HR leadership experience across the banking, IT, ITES, and hospitality sectors, Shalini will focus on building a high-performance culture rooted in regulatory excellence and aligned with the Group’s global values.
Before joining Crédit Agricole CIB, Shalini served as Vice President of Human Resources at a global financial institution for more than four years. There, she played a key role in strengthening strategic HR frameworks, supporting leadership development, and enhancing organisational capability in a complex global banking environment.
Previously, she was Director of Human Resources at a leading luxury hotel in Mumbai, where she drove cultural transformation and improved workforce engagement while leading operational HR initiatives.
Shalini also spent over eight years at a global technology and consulting firm, serving as an HR Business Partner across key technology functions. Her work contributed to organisational development, talent engagement, and HR transformation. Earlier in her career, she held progressive HR roles at international business process management and IT services companies, gaining expertise in recruitment, business partnering, and operations support.
She holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resources from the Welingkar Institute of Management and has completed the Advanced Leadership Program in Digital Era Organisational Leadership at the Indian Institute of Management, Lucknow. These academic achievements strengthen her ability to lead future-ready HR functions in the digital age.
