Bhandari will oversee the strategy and implementation of Schroders Capital’s private markets solutions as head and CIO, contributing to the company’s expansion.Based in London, Bhandari reports to Ingo Heinen, the worldwide head of product and commercial development.
Bhandari was a senior portfolio manager at BlackRock before joining Schroders Capital.
Over the course of seven years, Bhandari grew BlackRock’s multi-alternatives private markets solutions business in EMEA, working with a variety of client segments, including insurance, wealth, sovereigns, family offices, defined benefit and defined contribution pensions, and other institutions, according to a statement.
“We help our clients build customised exposures across the private markets spectrum,” Heinen said in a statement. “This capability epitomises our client centricity and is a key part of our differentiated pan-private markets solutions offering. Vikram’s leadership will allow us to further leverage the capabilities at Schroders Capital Solutions and deliver even more to our growing global client base.”
