Schneider Electric bets on AI-driven panels to power next wave of smart homes

As the push for smarter energy systems grows, Schneider Electric is introducing artificial intelligence into electrical panels to improve how energy is managed at home. The move aims to make energy usage more efficient without requiring manual input.

The company’s CEO, Olivier Blum, said this initiative is part of a larger shift toward electrification and intelligent energy management. He highlighted that AI can help optimise energy consumption automatically, making homes more efficient and responsive.

Speaking in New Delhi, Blum emphasized the importance of upgrading legacy systems and improving connectivity between devices. He noted that enabling different devices to work together is essential for advancing the smart home ecosystem, especially in markets like India where energy systems are evolving rapidly.

The company is focusing on making energy systems more connected and intelligent, aligning with the broader trend of digital transformation in the energy sector.

The smart home market is expected to nearly double in size by 2031, indicating strong demand for such innovations. Schneider Electric’s latest move positions it to play a key role in shaping the future of energy management through AI-driven solutions.
