Sarvam AI launches Chanakya to deliver secure AI solutions for enterprises and government

Expanding its focus beyond consumer offerings, Sarvam AI has introduced a new vertical called Chanakya to build secure and mission-critical AI solutions for enterprises and government sectors. The company shared in a post on X that it has spent the past 1 year developing full-stack AI for “problems of national consequence and complex enterprises.”

The Chanakya vertical is aimed at organizations that cannot depend on public cloud infrastructure or consumer-grade AI tools. This includes regulated enterprises and institutions operating in strategic sectors. The solutions developed under this initiative are designed for “dual use,” serving both enterprise requirements and strategic applications.

At the India AI Impact Summit this year, Sarvam unveiled its first in-house AI models, Sarvam-30B and Sarvam-105B. Alongside these models, the company introduced multiple products such as Sarvam Vision for OCR and multimodal capabilities, Sarvam Dub for translation and dubbing, and the Indus beta app for mobile and web platforms. It also showcased its AI-powered smart glasses, Sarvam Kaze.

According to an earlier report by a financial daily, Sarvam is in early discussions to raise $250-300 million from investors including NVIDIA, HCLTech, and Accel. Co-founder Vivek Raghavan had earlier outlined the company’s revenue strategy, stating, “We are primarily working with enterprises. Our approach is largely B2B,”.
