Sanofi India Limited appoints Deepak Arora as Managing Director

Sanofi India Limited has announced the appointment of Deepak Arora as its new Managing Director. The company describes this as a key leadership addition to strengthen its vision of advancing innovation, improving patient access, and supporting sustainable healthcare solutions in India.

Deepak brings more than thirty years of international experience in the pharmaceutical and healthcare sectors. He has built a strong reputation in strategic marketing, business transformation, and operational excellence. His leadership aligns with Sanofi India’s mission of improving lives through science led healthcare and expanding meaningful patient impact.

Before joining Sanofi India, Deepak served as Country President African Cluster at AstraZeneca. He led business transformation and commercial growth across several markets in Africa and the Middle East. His work focused on aligning operations with global priorities while building high performing teams across regions. Earlier, Deepak spent close to a decade at Eli Lilly and Company. He held senior leadership roles including Director Diabetes Business Unit and Sales Director Specialty and Diabetes, overseeing important therapeutic portfolios in oncology, endocrinology, cardiology, and critical care.

During his time at the company’s global headquarters in the United States as Senior International Marketing Associate, he received the Global Marketing Award and the Excellence Award in 2008.

Deepak also worked with Novartis as Global Associate Brand Director in Basel, Switzerland. He led international product launches and portfolio strategies across cardiovascular and women’s health therapy areas. His leadership experience across AstraZeneca, Eli Lilly, and Novartis reflects his understanding of both emerging and developed markets.

A graduate of Indira Gandhi National Open University, Deepak is known for his strategic vision, collaborative leadership style, and ability to manage complex business environments. His appointment highlights Sanofi India’s focus on patient centric growth, operational agility, and building a stronger healthcare ecosystem for the future.
