In his new role, Rath will lead the overall people strategy for the NBFC, with responsibility for leadership development, workforce capability building, and organisational effectiveness. He will oversee HR strategy across the company, focusing on strengthening talent pipelines, improving employee engagement, and aligning people initiatives with business growth priorities.
The appointment comes at a phase when Kotak Mahindra Prime is expanding its operations and placing greater emphasis on building a future ready workforce. Rath will work closely with senior leadership to support sustainable growth through robust talent management and people development frameworks.
Rath brings close to 2 decades of experience in human resources and people leadership. He has held several senior HR roles within the Kotak Mahindra Group, where he partnered closely with business leaders on talent planning, organisation design, and culture building initiatives.
Before joining the Kotak Group, he worked with large and diversified organisations including ICICI Bank, L and T Finance, and the Aditya Birla Group. These roles provided him with deep exposure to complex, multi business environments and large scale workforce management.
An alumnus of Management Development Institute, Gurugram, Rath is known for aligning HR frameworks with business priorities and guiding organisations through phases of growth and transformation. His experience spans talent strategy, leadership capability building, and strengthening organisational culture.
With this appointment, Kotak Mahindra Prime aims to further enhance its people practices and leadership depth, supporting its long term vision in the competitive financial services landscape.
