Samsung Galaxy users may soon get a first look at One UI 8.5 as leaks reveal the beta rollout schedule. While Samsung has not officially confirmed the dates, the update is expected to be phased across select global markets. The Galaxy S26 series, set to launch early next year, is likely to ship with One UI 8.5 pre-installed. A test build of the software was recently detected on Samsung’s servers, hinting at new features including Network Battery Saver, Priority Notifications, and Pro camera presets.
According to a post on X by Tarun Vats, citing unnamed sources, Beta 1 is scheduled for December 8, followed by Beta 2 on December 22, and Beta 3 around January 5, 2026. The first beta will initially be available in the US, UK, South Korea, and Germany. India and Poland are expected to receive the update in the second phase.
The One UI 8.5 beta build for the Galaxy S25 series surfaced recently with firmware versions S938NKSU7ZYKP, S938NOKR7ZYKP, and S938NKSU7CYKP. The stable release is expected alongside the Galaxy S26 series, possibly in late January.
The update is expected to bring several enhancements. Network Battery Saver will manage network activity during idle times to extend battery life. Priority Notifications, powered by Galaxy AI, could automatically identify and highlight important alerts above others, while also allowing users to manually set high-priority apps. Pro camera presets will provide users with advanced photography controls for more precise shots.
With this phased beta rollout, Samsung appears ready to offer a more intuitive and efficient user experience, blending AI-assisted features with practical tools to enhance device performance and daily usability.
