Samsung to embed AI across all products for unified user experience

A major shift in product strategy is underway at Samsung as the company moves to place artificial intelligence at the core of its entire device ecosystem.

Samsung co CEO T M Roh said the company will embed AI across every product, category and service to deliver a seamless and unified AI experience. He made the announcement at Samsung’s First Look event held in Las Vegas.

“We will embed AI across every category and every product and every service to deliver one seamless unified AI experience and be at the forefront to deliver the power of innovation to more people everywhere,” Roh said.

Samsung ships around 500 million devices every year across mobile phones, TVs, appliances, wearables and displays. Roh said all these products are connected through seamless multi device connectivity, adding, “No company can do what we do.” He also noted that Samsung is working closely with industry partners to build stronger AI driven experiences and deliver greater value to users.

Roh, who was named Head of the Device eXperience division and appointed co CEO in November last year, said Samsung is combining on device AI with cloud based AI. “We are also enabling a powerful combination of on device AI privacy, personalisation, real time processing, and cloud AI for complex processing. Together, this delivers higher performance and becomes a strong foundation for seamless multi device intelligence,” he said.

At the First Look showcase, Samsung revealed its next generation AI powered devices and experiences. The company unveiled the 130 inch Micro RGB TV, which it said delivers the most detailed and extensive colour spectrum seen so far in Samsung televisions. The display uses micro sized RGB light sources, where each red, green and blue diode operates independently to produce natural colours. The Micro RGB AI Engine Pro enables precise colour control for vivid visuals in every scene.

Samsung also introduced its latest Odyssey gaming monitor lineup with 5 new models. The range is led by Samsung’s first 6K 3D Odyssey G9, alongside the new Odyssey G6 and 3 Odyssey G8 models, offering advances in resolution, refresh rate and immersive viewing.

In home appliances, Samsung showcased an AI enabled refrigerator with an upgraded AI Vision feature built with Google Gemini. The update improves food recognition and tracks items placed inside or removed from the refrigerator, helping simplify meal planning and food management.
