A fresh round of price revisions could be on the way for Samsung smartphones in India, with several Galaxy A and F series models expected to become more expensive starting April 10. The reported changes are based on a leaked document, although the company has not officially confirmed the update.
As per the leak, Samsung is planning to revise the Market Operating Price (MOP) of multiple entry-level and mid-range devices. The models likely to be affected include the Galaxy A06, Galaxy A07, Galaxy A17, Galaxy A36, Galaxy A56, and Galaxy F17.
The Galaxy A06 is tipped to see a price increase of Rs. 1,000, taking its price to Rs. 13,499. The Galaxy A07 may witness a slightly higher hike of Rs. 1,250, with the revised price expected to reach Rs. 10,999.
In the mid-range category, the Galaxy A17 could get a price bump between Rs. 1,000 and Rs. 1,500, with the top variant potentially priced at Rs. 27,999. The device was originally launched at Rs. 18,999 for the 6GB + 128GB variant.
The Galaxy A36 is expected to see a more significant increase ranging from Rs. 1,500 to Rs. 3,000. This could push its price up to Rs. 43,499, depending on the variant. At launch, the phone was priced at Rs. 32,999 for the 8GB + 128GB model, while the 8GB + 256GB and 12GB + 256GB variants were priced at Rs. 35,999 and Rs. 38,999, respectively.
The Galaxy A56 is likely to see the highest price hike, estimated between Rs. 2,000 and Rs. 3,500. This may take the price of higher-end variants up to Rs. 52,499.
Additionally, the Galaxy F17 is also expected to receive a flat price increase of Rs. 1,000 across all variants. However, the exact revised prices for each configuration have not yet been disclosed.
While these changes are based on leaked information, an official announcement from Samsung is still awaited.
