Samsung Galaxy S26 series set for debut at February 25 Unpacked event

With anticipation building ahead of its first major launch of 2026, Samsung is preparing to unveil its next flagship smartphones as fresh details emerge online.

Samsung will host its first Galaxy Unpacked event of 2026 on February 25, where it is expected to introduce the Galaxy S26 series. Ahead of the launch, alleged images of the Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26 Plus, and Galaxy S26 Ultra have surfaced online, offering a look at their expected colour options. According to a tech publication report, all 3 models are shown in Black, White, Sky Blue, and Cobalt Violet, which are likely to be the brand’s standard colours. Silver Shadow and Pink Gold are said to be exclusive to Samsung’s official website.

Samsung will host its Galaxy Unpacked 2026 event on February 25 in San Francisco. The launch event will begin at 11:30 pm IST and will be livestreamed globally through the Samsung Newsroom and the Samsung YouTube channel.

Samsung has opened pre-reservations for its upcoming devices in India via the Samsung India Store. Customers can block a device by paying a refundable Rs 999. The company said pre-reserved customers will receive a guaranteed voucher worth Rs 2,699, along with additional benefits of up to Rs 50,000.

Leaked images suggest the Galaxy S26 and Galaxy S26 Plus will feature only minor design updates, mainly a refreshed camera module. The overall look appears similar to the Galaxy S25 and Galaxy S25 Plus.
The Galaxy S26 Ultra also retains a familiar design compared to the Galaxy S25 Ultra, with a redesigned camera housing and slightly more rounded edges. The S Pen has been updated to match the device frame, with a colour-matched tip and a black or white body depending on the variant.

Samsung’s teasers for the Galaxy S26 series highlight a uniform camera island design across the lineup. The visuals focus on photography and display the words “CLOSER,” “GROOVE,” and “GLOW,” possibly hinting at a triple-camera setup. The company has also teased a built-in privacy layer that may act as an alternative to traditional privacy screen protectors.

On the hardware front, the Galaxy S26 Ultra is expected to run on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy processor, paired with a 200MP main camera, 50MP ultra-wide, and 50MP telephoto sensors, along with a 5,000mAh battery.

The Galaxy S26 and Galaxy S26 Plus are likely to feature either the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 or Samsung’s Exynos 2600 chipset, depending on the market. Both are expected to include a 50MP main camera, 12MP ultra-wide, and 12MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom and OIS. The Plus model may sport a 6.7-inch LTPO AMOLED display, while the base version could feature a 6.3-inch screen. Battery sizes are tipped at 4,900mAh and 4,300mAh, with Qi2 wireless charging support.
