Samsung Galaxy A07 5G set for India debut with big display and 50MP camera

Samsung is preparing to expand its Galaxy A series lineup in India with the launch of the Galaxy A07 5G. The upcoming smartphone is positioned in the affordable segment and brings a mix of large-screen viewing, long battery life, and 5G connectivity. It follows the India launch of the 4G version of the Galaxy A07 in October last year.

Samsung has confirmed that the Galaxy A07 5G will launch in India in the first week of February. The brand has officially shared several key specifications ahead of the debut.

The Galaxy A07 5G will feature a 6.7-inch HD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The screen is rated at 800 nits brightness in HBM and comes with 2-step tempered glass protection. Samsung says the phone is designed to deliver a smooth and durable viewing experience in daily use.

On the camera front, the smartphone will offer a dual rear camera setup. This includes a 50-megapixel autofocus primary sensor with an f/1.8 aperture and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. For selfies and video calls, the device will house an 8-megapixel front camera.

Battery life is another key highlight. The Galaxy A07 5G packs a 6,000mAh battery with support for 25W fast charging. According to the company, this battery is 20 percent larger than the 5,000mAh unit found on the Galaxy A06 5G.

Globally, the Galaxy A07 5G is already available in Thailand in Black and Light Violet colour options. Pricing in Thailand starts at THB 5,499 (around Rs. 15,800) for the 4GB RAM + 128GB storage variant, while the 6GB RAM + 128GB storage model costs THB 5,999 (around Rs. 17,200).

The global variant carries an IP54 rating for dust and splash resistance, features Samsung’s Key Island design, and runs on a 6nm octa-core chipset. It ships with Android 16 and One UI 8.0, and Samsung has confirmed support for 6 major Android updates and 6 years of security patches.
