Alithya, a leading firm in technology and digital strategy, has welcomed Saikat Sarkar as its new Global Director, Human Capital Business Partner. With more than twenty years of global HR expertise, Saikat will guide the alignment of Alithya’s human capital initiatives with its broad business transformation ambitions across worldwide operations.
Prior to joining Alithya, Saikat held the position of Human Resources Director at Wyman Gordon, part of Precision Castparts Company. Over a three-year tenure, he partnered with leadership teams to synchronize talent strategies with organizational goals, cultivated an inclusive work culture, and spearheaded change management and talent development programs.
Before that, Saikat served as Global HR Director at AMETEK, supporting divisions such as Vision Research and Forza for more than six years. His efforts were crucial in launching global HR policies, leadership growth frameworks, and performance-driven systems that enhanced employee engagement and operational productivity.
Saikat also brings valuable experience from his time at Caterpillar Inc., where he spent over five years working in both the United States and India. As Senior Manager HRBP and Talent Management, he led Asia’s talent pipeline development, managed worldwide succession plans, and introduced compensation schemes aligned with Caterpillar’s strategic vision. Earlier, as HRBP Manager, he focused on improving workplace culture and driving diversity hiring initiatives.
Earlier in his career, Saikat made significant contributions at CGI, Essar, and Firstsource. At Firstsource, his transformational HR initiatives helped boost employee retention by 20 percent, while his roles at CGI and Essar included developing HR policies and enhancing operational efficiency across teams in India and the U.S.
With a rich blend of strategic insight and hands-on experience, Saikat Sarkar is set to play a key role in shaping Alithya’s future, integrating human capital with evolving business needs.
