Rollable headphones that turn into a speaker debut at CES 2026

A new approach to personal audio was unveiled at CES 2026, where startup TDM, short for “Tomorrow Doesn’t Matter,” introduced its first wireless headphones called Neo.

At first glance, the Neo look like standard over-ear wireless headphones. However, they feature a flexible headband that can be twisted and rolled around the ear cups, transforming the headphones into a compact Bluetooth speaker. While headphones with speaker modes are not new, Neo uses a different design approach.

The headphones include 4 drivers in total. Two inward-facing 40mm drivers are used for private listening in headphone mode. When switched to speaker mode, either by pressing a button or rolling the headset, the internal drivers turn off and a second set of outward-facing 40mm drivers activates to project sound for group listening.

TDM claims up to 200 hours of battery life in headphone mode. In speaker mode, battery life drops to just over 10 hours. The Neo runs on 2 user-replaceable 1,500mAh batteries, a feature aimed at extending the product’s lifespan.

Connectivity is handled via Bluetooth 6 with multipoint and Auracast support. A 3.5mm audio jack is also included for wired use. The built-in microphone supports calls and voice assistants such as Siri, Alexa, and Google Assistant in both modes.

The Neo headphones will launch through a Kickstarter campaign in January 2026. They will be available in black and white for $249. Despite the premium pricing, the headphones do not offer active noise cancellation and rely solely on memory foam ear cushions for passive noise isolation.
