Roku is preparing new growth initiatives after reporting solid fourth quarter earnings for 2025. The company announced plans to introduce streaming bundles in 2026, expand its $3 ad free subscription service Howdy to more platforms, and partner with additional premium streaming services following the success of adding HBO Max.
The move to launch streaming bundles comes as subscription prices continue to rise across the industry. Roku aims to attract cost conscious viewers by offering more value driven options. The company said the strong performance of HBO Max within its premium subscription offerings has encouraged it to bring more top tier partners on board. This strategy is expected to support platform growth and strengthen its subscription ecosystem.
Roku also highlighted plans to expand Howdy beyond its own platform. The ad free streaming service was introduced last year and is priced at $3 per month. While details on the rollout remain limited, Roku CEO Anthony Wood said at CES last month, “We want to distribute it everywhere.” In addition to product updates, Roku reported that users streamed 145.6 billion hours of video in 2025, a 15% increase compared to 2024. The company is also approaching 100 million streaming households but has decided to report that metric less frequently.
On the financial front, Roku posted net income of $80.5 million in Q4 2025, compared to a loss of $35.5 million during the same period last year. Total revenue reached $1.4 billion, reflecting a 16% year over year increase. Looking ahead, Roku projects total net revenue of $5.5 billion and gross profit of $2.4 billion. “In 2023, our priority was to rightsize our cost structure and reach adjusted EBITDA breakeven in 2024, and we achieved that goal a full year ahead of schedule,” Wood told investors. “Looking ahead to 2026 and beyond, we are confident in our ability to sustain double digit platform revenue growth while continuing to grow profitability.”
