Rohit Talwar has been appointed as Chief Marketing Officer at JSW Paints, strengthening the company’s leadership team as it continues to expand in the decorative and industrial coatings sector. In his new position, Rohit will report to Ashish Rai, CEO of Decorative Paints.
Rohit brings more than two decades of expertise in sales, marketing, branding, and communications. Before joining JSW Paints, he worked for over 13 years at Castrol, where he held several senior leadership roles. Most recently, he served as Vice President and Head of Marketing for India and South Asia, leading strategic brand initiatives and delivering strong business results across markets.
Earlier in his career, he served as Marketing Director in Vietnam, where he directed regional marketing operations and played a key role in expanding Castrol’s brand reach and consumer presence in Southeast Asia. He also worked as Deputy Vice President and Head of Brand and Communications in India, where he developed campaigns that enhanced brand value and strengthened customer engagement.
Rohit began his journey at Castrol as Area Sales Manager and later moved into roles including Senior Brand Manager for Motorcycle Products and Sponsorship Manager for the ICC Cricket World Cup 2011, demonstrating his ability to lead across different business functions. He started his professional career with Navneet Education Limited as Assistant Manager for Promotions.
He holds an MBA in Marketing and Leadership and Change Management from the Indian School of Business. With this background, Rohit brings a strong combination of operational knowledge, consumer insights, and brand strategy to his new role at JSW Paints.
