Rocket Lab Schedules Launch of Synspective’s Next StriX Satellite

Rocket Lab Corporation has announced the launch window for its upcoming mission for Synspective, a leading Japanese company specialising in Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) satellite data and analytics. The mission, named “Owl New World”, is set to launch from Rocket Lab Launch Complex 1 in New Zealand during a window opening on October 14 UTC.

This mission will deploy the seventh StriX satellite, marking the first of a new generation of satellites for Synspective’s low Earth orbit constellation. The constellation is designed to deliver high-frequency, high-resolution Earth observation data for disaster response, national security, and environmental monitoring.

“Owl New World” represents Rocket Lab’s seventh launch for Synspective and is part of a broader plan involving 21 upcoming missions to complete the company’s Earth-imaging constellation by the end of the decade. Rocket Lab’s Electron rocket has already successfully launched six StriX satellites across dedicated missions, serving as the sole launch provider for Synspective’s constellation to date.

This mission will be Rocket Lab’s 15th launch in 2025 and 73rd overall. With a 100% success rate for all missions this year and plans for over 20 launches in 2025, Electron continues to maintain its position as the world’s most frequently launched commercial small orbital rocket, setting the industry standard for reliability and frequency.
