Strengthening its leadership bench in cybersecurity and technology risk, Risk Quotient has welcomed Dr. Nilesh Roy as Principal Consultant, bringing nearly 29+ years of experience across enterprise IT, cybersecurity, and risk governance.
Dr. Roy is a seasoned technology and information security leader with deep expertise across BFSI, insurance, fintech, SaaS, and regulated sectors. His career has progressed from core IT infrastructure and operations into enterprise-wide cybersecurity and digital resilience strategy, helping organisations scale securely while meeting regulatory and business goals.
In his new role, he will lead strategic client engagements and advise Boards, CEOs, and CXOs on cybersecurity, technology risk, and regulatory compliance. His focus includes integrating cyber risk into Enterprise Risk Management (ERM), driving secure digital transformation across cloud, data, and AI, and strengthening compliance and audit readiness aligned with ISO 27001, ISO 22301, NIST, RBI, IRDAI, SOC, and GDPR.
Dr. Roy follows a business-first approach to security, targeting measurable outcomes such as reduced risk exposure, improved service resilience, optimised technology investments, stronger third-party risk controls, and faster executive decision-making through risk analytics.
At Risk Quotient, his responsibilities will cover client leadership, proposal development, and account expansion. He will also lead end-to-end cybersecurity and GRC programs, design frameworks such as ISO 27001, ISO 27701, ISO 31000, COBIT, and COSO, and conduct enterprise, IT, and third-party risk assessments. He will oversee audit management, guide remediation roadmaps for regulations including SEBI, RBI, HIPAA, GDPR, and DPDP, and mentor consulting teams.
Before this role, Dr. Roy served as Director of CyberSecurity & Customer Success at a cybersecurity firm. There, he led cybersecurity advisory programs, built structured customer success governance, and strengthened CXO relationships. His work improved incident response, increased customer trust, and supported growth through upsell and long-term partnerships. He also enabled clients to reduce cyber risk while maintaining regulatory compliance.
With experience in large-scale transformation programs, crisis response, AI governance, and digital trust initiatives, Dr. Roy’s appointment supports Risk Quotient’s focus on cybersecurity transformation, regulatory alignment, and business resilience.
