Reliance Jio Restores Services After Nationwide Outage Hits Mobile and JioFiber Users

Reliance Jio, one of the largest telecom providers in India, has successfully restored its mobile and JioFiber services nationwide after a significant outage on Monday afternoon left many users without internet access, mobile signals, and the ability to make calls. The disruption started around 1:30 PM and quickly led to a surge in complaints from major cities such as Mumbai, Delhi, Bengaluru, and Kochi. While the issue seems to have been resolved, an official statement from the company regarding the cause is still pending.

Data from outage trackers indicates that the peak of the disruption saw over 12,000 reports, with most users facing mobile internet issues and a notable number also experiencing problems with JioFiber and mobile network reception. Social media was inundated with frustrated users sharing “No Service” messages and frequent call drops, underscoring the immediate and widespread effect on daily communications and digital activities across various regions.

According to the outage tracking site Downdetector, more than 12,000 users reported issues, primarily related to mobile data outages. Approximately 32% of users mentioned difficulties in making or receiving calls, while 12% reported disruptions in JioFiber services. The connectivity problems reportedly began around 1:45 PM, when about 400 users reported issues accessing Jio’s network. By 2:45 PM, the number of reports had surged past 12,000, indicating a major outage.

In the meantime, frustrated customers took to X (formerly Twitter), sharing screenshots of “No Service” alerts and absent signal bars on their devices. Many users tagged Jio’s official account, seeking answers. Up to this point, Reliance Jio has not released any official statement addressing the outage or its cause.
