Redmi Note 15 Pro series 5G India debut reportedly set for January

The Redmi Note 15 Pro Series 5G is expected to launch in India soon, according to a new report. The lineup includes the Redmi Note 15 Pro and the Redmi Note 15 Pro Plus 5G. These smartphones were introduced in global markets in December. While the brand has only hinted at their arrival in India, the launch date has now reportedly been revealed. The new models are expected to join the Redmi Note 15 Series in the country after the recent debut of the standard Redmi Note 15 5G earlier this month.

According to a report by a tech publication, tipster Yogesh Brar claims that the Redmi Note 15 Pro and Redmi Note 15 Pro Plus 5G will launch in India on January 27. The Pro Plus variant is said to be powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 chipset, which was unveiled by Qualcomm in August 2025.

The Redmi Note 15 Pro Plus 5G is expected to feature a 6.83 inch 1.5K curved AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. For photography, it may come with a dual rear camera setup that includes a 200 megapixel primary sensor and an 8 megapixel ultra wide camera. On the front, it is said to offer a 32 megapixel camera for selfies and video calls. The device is also tipped to pack a 6500mAh battery with support for 100W fast charging.

The Redmi Note 15 Pro 5G is expected to sport a 6.83 inch 1.5K flat AMOLED screen. It could be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7400 Ultra processor. The report suggests that it may use the same primary rear camera as the Pro Plus model but could feature a 20 megapixel front camera. The Pro variant is said to include a larger 6580mAh battery, although with slower charging speeds.

Both smartphones are expected to run on Android 15 based HyperOS 2. They may also receive four years of operating system updates and six years of security patches.

Recently, Redmi teased the arrival of the Redmi Note 15 Pro Series 5G in India, though it did not share a launch date. The Pro variant was also spotted on Geekbench with the model number 25080RABDI, suggesting that its launch in the country could be close.
