Redmi Note 15 5G launched in India with 108 megapixel camera and Snapdragon 6 Gen 3

Redmi on Tuesday launched the Redmi Note 15 5G in India, calling it the 108 MasterPixel Edition. The new smartphone arrives as the successor to the Redmi Note 14 5G, which was introduced in December 2024. It is positioned as a mid range device and is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chipset. The company claims it delivers over 30 percent faster multitasking performance than the previous model. The phone features a 108 megapixel camera and a 5,520mAh battery.

The Redmi Note 15 5G price in India starts at Rs. 19,999 for the base variant with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage. A higher variant with 256GB storage is priced at Rs. 21,999. These prices include a Rs. 2,000 bank discount.

Buyers can also get a bank discount of up to Rs. 3,000 on Axis Bank, ICICI Bank, and SBI card transactions. Redmi is offering added benefits at no extra cost, including two months of YouTube Premium, three months of Spotify Premium Standard, and six months of Google One access.

The dual SIM Redmi Note 15 5G runs on Android 15 based HyperOS 2. Redmi has promised four years of operating system updates and six years of security updates. The phone is also expected to receive an over the air update to HyperOS 3 based on Android 16 in the near future.

The device features a 6.77 inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 1,080 x 2,392 pixels. It supports a 120Hz refresh rate and offers up to 3,200 nits of peak brightness. The screen is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 7i.

The smartphone is powered by the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chipset, paired with 8GB LPDDR4X RAM and up to 256GB UFS 2.2 storage. It also supports microSD card expansion.

For photography, the Redmi Note 15 5G has a dual rear camera setup with a 108 megapixel main camera and an 8 megapixel ultra wide camera. On the front, it features a 20 megapixel camera for selfies and video calls. The rear cameras support 4K video recording at 30 fps, while the front camera supports 1080p video at 30 fps.

The handset comes with an IP65 rating for dust and water resistance. It supports AI face unlock and has an in display fingerprint sensor. The phone measures 164 x 75.42 x 7.35mm and weighs 178g.

Connectivity options include 5G, 4G LTE, Wi Fi, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, NFC, and a USB Type C port. It also features stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos and Hi Res Audio. The Redmi Note 15 5G is backed by a 5,520mAh battery with 45W fast charging and 18W reverse charging support.
