Redmagic unveils world’s first true liquid-cooled gaming phone, starting at $749

Gaming phone maker Redmagic has launched the Redmagic 11 Pro, the first smartphone to feature an active liquid cooling system, setting a new benchmark in mobile performance engineering. The device will roll out globally later this month, including in the United States, although it won’t be available through carrier partners.

While many smartphones advertise “liquid cooling” using vapor chambers, the Redmagic 11 Pro takes the concept further. It uses an actual liquid coolant that circulates through the phone’s body, actively reducing internal heat. The system includes a waterproof fan, liquid metal cooling for the CPU, and a vapor chamber for additional thermal management, creating a multi-layered cooling system designed to sustain high-performance gaming sessions.

Powering the device is Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, paired with a 7,500mAh battery, slightly smaller than the 8,000mAh version found in the Chinese model. The phone also comes equipped with touch-sensitive shoulder triggers, RGB lighting effects, a headphone jack, and a sleek design featuring flush camera lenses — a rarity in modern smartphones.

The Redmagic 11 Pro will be available directly from Redmagic starting November 19, priced at $749 for the black Cryo edition, which conceals the internal cooling system. For users who want to show off the liquid cooling in action, the black Nightfreeze and silver Cryo variants include a transparent rear section that reveals the coolant flow. These models, priced at $849, also come with additional RAM and storage.

Redmagic’s focus on advanced cooling is aimed at mobile gamers seeking consistent frame rates and reduced heat buildup during intensive gameplay. The combination of innovative engineering and aggressive pricing positions the Redmagic 11 Pro as one of the most ambitious gaming smartphones of the year.
