Expanding its Neo lineup with a strong focus on power and performance, Realme has introduced its latest smartphone in the Chinese market, bringing flagship-level hardware and high-capacity battery features to the mid-premium segment.
The Realme Neo 8 was launched in China on Thursday. The smartphone comes in 3 colour options and packs an 8,000mAh battery with 80W fast charging support. It is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset and offers up to 16GB of RAM and up to 1TB of internal storage. The device also features a 6.78-inch AMOLED display and a triple rear camera setup led by a 50-megapixel main sensor. It carries IP66+IP68+IP69 ratings for dust and splash resistance.
The Realme Neo 8 is priced at CNY 2,399 (around Rs. 33,000) for the 12GB RAM and 256GB storage variant. Other variants include 16GB+256GB at CNY 2,699 (around Rs. 35,000), 12GB+512GB at CNY 2,899 (around Rs. 38,000), 16GB+512GB at CNY 3,199 (around Rs. 41,000), and the top-end 16GB+1TB model at CNY 3,699 (around Rs. 48,000).
The smartphone is currently available in China in Cyber Purple, Mech Gray, and Origin White colour options.
The dual SIM Realme Neo 8 runs on Android 16 with Realme UI 7.0. It features a 6.78-inch full-HD+ AMOLED display with a resolution of 1,272×2,772 pixels, a 165Hz refresh rate, and a 360Hz touch sampling rate. Built using Samsung M14 materials, the display offers up to 3,800 nits peak brightness.
In terms of optics, the phone includes a 50-megapixel wide camera with OIS, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and a 50-megapixel telephoto camera with OIS. A 16-megapixel front camera handles selfies and video calls.
The device comes with an ultrasonic 3D fingerprint sensor, crystal armour glass protection, and Sky Signal Chip S1 for improved signal performance. Realme has promised 3 major Android updates and 4 years of security updates.
Connectivity options include 5G, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, USB Type-C, and multiple satellite navigation systems. The phone also features dual stereo speakers, bypass charging support, measures 8.30mm in thickness, and weighs 215g.
