Realme has confirmed that its 16 Pro series will launch in India soon. The company is expected to reveal more details, including the official launch date, in the coming days. The series is likely to include two models, Realme 16 Pro and Realme 16 Pro+, following the success of the Realme 15 Pro 5G, which was introduced in July alongside the standard Realme 15 5G. Notably, the previous line-up did not feature a Pro+ variant.
Teaser images suggest a sleek design for the new phones, featuring a slim profile, golden middle frame and a slightly raised rear camera module. The Realme 16 Pro, rumoured with the model number RMX5121, has already appeared on certification sites in China, showing a flat front display and a square camera module with rounded edges on the top-left corner of the rear panel. The phone is expected to feature a 6.78-inch 1.5K OLED screen with a 144Hz refresh rate and run on a 2.5GHz processor with Android 16-based Realme UI 7. Photography enthusiasts may enjoy the 200-megapixel primary camera and a 50-megapixel front camera.
The handset could come with a massive 7,000mAh battery supporting 80W fast charging and may include an in-display fingerprint scanner and an IR blaster. The device is reported to measure 7.75mm in thickness and weigh around 192g. Earlier leaks suggest configurations of up to 12GB RAM and 512GB storage, with colour options including grey, gold and purple.
The Realme 16 Pro+ is expected to offer similar specifications and is likely to succeed the Realme 14 Pro+ 5G, which launched in India in January. Rumoured to carry the model number RMX5131, the Pro+ variant may come in Camellia Pink, Master Gold and Master Grey finishes. In the days ahead, Realme is expected to reveal more key features of the 16 Pro series, giving fans a closer look at what to expect from the upcoming smartphones.
