Ray-Ban and Meta Launch Exclusive Smart Glasses

Ray-Ban and Meta are gearing up to release a fresh batch of their limited-edition smart glasses this month, but if you’re hoping to snag a pair, you’ll have to act quickly – only 3,600 pairs will be available, making them even harder to get than before.

Meta teased the upcoming launch with images of the glasses, showcasing a clear frame that highlights the advanced hardware inside, much like the previous version. However, details about the design are still scarce. The earlier limited edition featured the classic Wayfarer frame, but this time, it could either use the Skyler or Headliner styles, known for their more rounded lenses. There’s also speculation that a brand-new design – possibly the one unveiled by Ray-Ban’s Creative Director A$AP Rocky at Milan Fashion Week – might make an appearance. This could align with Meta’s “straight from the runway” description in their promotional materials.

One mystery remains: will these smart glasses come in the same exclusive black case as the previous limited edition, or will they have a standard brown case instead? We’re hoping for the former.

Another unknown is the price tag. The last limited-edition pair was priced at $429, which was $100 higher than the regular translucent smart glasses. Given that only 3,600 pairs are being produced this time, it’s likely these new glasses will come with an even steeper price tag. Meta’s previous run of 7,500 units sold out quickly, and with the reduced number this time, the demand is expected to be even higher.

While there’s no exact release date yet, Meta has a “Notify me” button on their website, so you can sign up for updates. But be warned: if you plan to grab a pair, be ready for competition. With such a limited supply, scalpers will probably be on the hunt, and there’s also a risk of scams from unofficial sellers if the glasses sell out fast.

If you’re eyeing these exclusive Ray-Ban Meta glasses, you’ll need to act fast when they drop.
