Ravi Jakhar Steps Into Larger Role as Director of Strategy and Group CFO at Allcargo Group

Wishing Mr. Ravi Jakhar greater responsibilities and exciting challenges in this impressive new chapter!

In a move that echoes both recognition and ambition, Allcargo Group has elevated Ravi Jakhar to the role of Director of Strategy and Group Chief Financial Officer. This comes as a natural progression after his impactful run as Group Chief Strategy Officer, where he architected many of the company’s vital strategic and financial maneuvers.

Ravi will now be at the helm of Allcargo’s global financial operations and strategic vision. His role expands to include direct oversight of finance chiefs across group entities such as ECU Worldwide, Allcargo Terminals, AllcargoGati, and TransIndia Real Estate. Beyond numbers, he will also spearhead the Centres of Excellence that encompass Legal, Internal Audit, Investor Relations, and Mergers and Acquisitions.

He will work closely with the Founder and Chairman, Shashi Kiran Shetty, to steer the conglomerate’s long-term growth, institutional building, and collaborative ventures across borders. Ravi continues to head operations in Latin America and Oceania, furthering his influence on key international markets.

Since joining Allcargo in 2020, Ravi has led monumental changes. From overseeing successful M&A deals to leading demergers and investor engagement initiatives, his approach has always been calculated yet bold. Notably, under his leadership, ECU Worldwide’s Latin American business has risen as the group’s fastest-growing region in 2024.

Expressing his admiration, Chairman Shetty noted, “Ravi has played a key role in our strategic and financial initiatives in recent years. His flair for initiative and risk-taking, combined with a balanced approach, make him a strong leader. He has turned around Latin America in a very short span, building an effective team and contributing immensely to the Group.”

Responding to his expanded responsibilities, Ravi said, “I am truly honoured by the trust placed in me and excited to take on this expanded role. I see tremendous opportunities for growth across our businesses and believe we can create significant value through sharper financial management. We aim to build a world-class institution by investing in the right people and remaining resilient while driving change through technology and a commercial mindset.”

An IIT BHU alumnus with executive training from Harvard, Ravi blends expertise with empathy. A poet at heart and a traveller by soul, his leadership is as dynamic as it is thoughtful.
