Rajneet Kohli to Succeed Shiva Krishnamurthy as Executive Director of HUL’s Foods Division

In a significant move to drive growth and innovation, Hindustan Unilever Ltd (HUL) has appointed Rajneet Kohli as the new Executive Director of its Foods division. Kohli, who will assume his new role on April 7, 2025, brings with him a wealth of expertise, having accumulated over 28 years of experience in the consumer goods and retail sectors.

Kohli takes over from Shiva Krishnamurthy, who is set to pursue new opportunities outside of the company. The appointment of Kohli marks a pivotal shift in HUL’s strategy for its Foods business, which has immense growth potential. As he joins the company’s Management Committee, Kohli is expected to bring fresh perspectives and leadership to further propel HUL’s position in the market.

Before joining HUL, Kohli was the CEO and Executive Director of Britannia, where he played a crucial role in fortifying the company’s leadership in the competitive food and bakery market. Under his guidance, Britannia achieved significant milestones, including product innovation, brand development, and strengthening its digital presence. Kohli’s leadership journey also includes notable roles at companies like Jubilant Foodworks, The Coca-Cola Co., and Asian Paints, where he honed his expertise in managing large businesses and leading high-performance teams.

Rohit Jawa, CEO and Managing Director of HUL, expressed his gratitude for Krishnamurthy’s contributions, noting, “I would like to thank Shiva for his contribution to our business over the years. Under his leadership, HUL became the market leader in Tea, delivered iconic communications that won prestigious marketing accolades and transformed the portfolio to win in faster growing spaces.” Jawa further emphasized the critical role of the Foods division, remarking, “Foods is a large Business Unit for HUL with strong growth potential. Rajneet brings extensive experience in managing large Foods and Beverages businesses and driving high performance. I am confident that he will lead the Foods business to the next phase of growth and transformation.”

As Kohli steps into his new role, all eyes are on the Foods division, where his leadership is expected to catalyze a new era of innovation and success. With a track record of driving transformation, Rajneet Kohli is poised to take HUL’s Foods business to greater heights.
