A Gurugram based startup has introduced Raasta Fix, a citizen first web application that helps people report civic problems like potholes, sewage, garbage, stagnant water and waste collection in less than 30 seconds.
Launched just five days ago, the platform allows users to quickly raise complaints that are geo tagged and time stamped. Every report is automatically sent to the concerned authorities including the Metropolitan Development Authority, Municipal Corporation, NHAI, PWD, RWAs, MLAs and councillors.
Currently designed for Gurugram, RaastaFix.com is in a prototype stage. The website mentions, “If you are interested in bringing Raasta Fix to your community, please contact us.” The app is mainly focused on non emergency civic issues such as potholes, garbage and waterlogging.
Filing a report is simple. A resident has to select the issue category, upload photos, allow location detection and then submit the complaint. The process is completed in less than half a minute.
Raasta Fix also features a colour coded live tracker that lets citizens follow the progress of their complaints. The application supports issues related to potholes, garbage, electric hazards, stray cows, construction debris, stagnant water and burning waste.
The app has been launched by Antino, a Gurugram based web solutions provider. The startup has been founded by three IIT alumni. Vinay Krishna Gupta, co founder and CEO, is an alumnus of IIT Kharagpur. Rajesh Kumar, co founder and COO, also graduated from IIT Kharagpur. Radhakanth Kodukula, co founder and CTO, studied at IIT Bhubaneswar.
Sharing details on LinkedIn, Vinay Krishna Gupta wrote, “In Gurgaon, road maintenance and garbage collection responsibilities are split across 5 to 6 different organisations. Most of the time, updates do not reach the right department on time and residents are not even sure who to contact. That is why we built RaastaFix — a pro bono app for the people.”
