Qatar Airways has partnered with Accenture to introduce a new artificial intelligence initiative called AI Skyways, which aims to transform aviation operations. This collaboration is designed to improve customer experience, boost operational efficiency, and strengthen overall airline performance. The programme also positions the airline as a leader in aviation AI while advancing the use of technology in the region and beyond.
AI Skyways will serve as the foundation for a wide range of value driven AI projects across the airline group. It will be guided by responsible AI practices, supported by data platforms, and evaluated by a value realisation office to measure the impact of AI initiatives. These efforts will speed up the use of AI solutions across aviation, including optimising flight schedules, advancing predictive maintenance, and creating more personalised customer interactions. With these solutions, the airline can continue to deliver world class travel experiences while also preparing for future applications of AI in the industry.
Qatar Airways’ Group Chief Executive Officer, Engr. Badr Mohammed Al-Meer, said, “This partnership with Accenture to establish AI Skyways represents a significant milestone in our journey to become leaders in AI-driven aviation. AI Skyways will leverage AI to reimagine a spectrum of operations across Qatar Airways Group from customer service to operations, to ensure that passengers enjoy a seamless and enriching travel experience. Furthermore, the partnership will focus on using AI for real-time data analysis to improve decision-making capabilities and operational responses.”
Qatar airline said this initiative is an important step in its ongoing digital-first journey, making use of AI and advanced technologies to enhance processes and improve decision-making at every level.
Accenture Chair and Chief Executive Officer, Ms. Julie Sweet, said, “Together, Qatar Airways and Accenture are applying innovative technologies and new ways of working to create new value for the airline and its customers. Our AI Skyways partnership is a key engine of this ambition, embedding and scaling AI to create outstanding travel experiences for passengers and deliver greater value to the airline group.”
Qatar Airways also confirmed that it is committed to building advanced AI powered solutions that can be applied to future projects across aviation. The airline added that its responsible AI framework will be based on strict ethical standards, data protection, and continuous monitoring to ensure that technology benefits customers, employees, and all stakeholders.
