Progress Software welcomes Girija Kolagada as India country manager and APAC HR leader

This move highlights the company’s focus on strengthening its India operations and expanding its role in AI driven innovation. In her new position, Kolagada will oversee Progress Software’s business operations in India while also leading regional HR strategies across Asia Pacific. 

Speaking on the appointment, she said, “India plays a vital role in the company’s global strategy not only as a centre of excellence for technology and AI product innovation but also as a source of exceptional talent and leadership.”

Kolagada has been with Progress Software for nearly 5 years and most recently served as vice president of engineering. Her professional journey began in the late 90s at the Indian Space Research Organisation, where she worked as a scientist. Over the years, she has built a diverse career with roles at companies such as Mascon Global and Oracle, gaining experience across technology, engineering and leadership functions.

Progress Software currently operates three global capability centres in India, located in Hyderabad, Bengaluru and New Delhi. These centres employ more than 740 people and act as strategic hubs for AI development, application engineering, data connectivity and DevOps initiatives. The company said the India teams play a key role in driving innovation and supporting its global product roadmap.
