GSK has announced the appointment of Preethi Narasimhan as Director of Learning Operations, bringing her extensive experience in capability development, digital learning transformation, and global talent enablement to the organization.
In her new role, Preethi will lead the global learning operations strategy at GSK. Her work will focus on building scalable and data led learning systems that enable employees to grow skills aligned with a rapidly evolving biopharma environment. She will drive learner centric approaches and help strengthen GSK’s overall people development and performance framework.
Preethi joins GSK after serving as Vice President, Learning and Performance at Diageo India. During her tenure, she shaped learning strategy and capability development across India and global teams in finance, operations, and technology. She introduced digital learning ecosystems, built leadership capability models, and ensured learning interventions closely supported business priorities.
Before that, she worked with HSBC as Assistant Vice President, Learning and Development. There, she led learning transformation programs that integrated digital platforms and analytics to improve skill development, performance alignment, and leadership readiness across regions.
Earlier in her career, Preethi was Head of Competency Development at Intellect Design Arena Ltd for the iGTB business unit. She designed techno functional capability frameworks for over 1,300 associates and pioneered customized learning platforms, including mobile and gamified learning solutions. She also played key learning leadership roles at Polaris Financial Technology Ltd, where she led learning design and branding initiatives.
Preethi began her career at a multinational insurance organization in an HR role where she designed behavioral training programs and organizational development models. Her academic background includes a Master’s degree in Social Work with specialization in Human Resources from the Madras School of Social Work and an Executive Management Program from Cornell University with focus on leadership and change management.
Her appointment reflects GSK’s continued investment in building strong internal learning systems to support growth and innovation.
