PepsiCo India has announced the appointment of Saakshi Verma Menon as the new Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) for India Foods. In her new role, Menon will lead the marketing strategy for some of PepsiCo’s most popular and well-loved food brands, including Lay’s, Kurkure, Uncle Chipps, Quaker, Cheetos, and Doritos.
“Super pumped to work on some of the most iconic and beloved brands… and shape the next chapter of their journey,” Menon shared.
She also looked back on her two-year journey with PepsiCo, where she contributed to the AMESA (Africa, Middle East, South Asia) and International Beverages teams. Menon expressed gratitude to her colleagues and senior leaders, saying they made her transition into the PepsiCo ecosystem smooth and welcoming. She described the company as “home” and thanked several team members and leaders for their constant support.
Menon takes over from Anshul Khanna and will work to build on the strong foundation laid during his tenure. She also acknowledged the confidence shown in her by PepsiCo’s global and regional leadership, including Jane Wakely, Eugene Willemsen, Jagrut Kotecha, Mark Kirkham, Vishal Kaul, and Pavitra Singh.
This leadership change comes at an important time for PepsiCo India, as the company strengthens its focus on its foods portfolio in the country. PepsiCo is making strategic investments in product innovation, brand building, and consumer engagement to drive growth.
Menon’s elevation highlights PepsiCo’s commitment to nurturing internal talent and promoting local leadership as part of its long-term growth plans for India.
