India’s self-made entrepreneur rankings saw a notable shift in 2025, with fintech major Paytm entering the Top 10 of the third edition of the IDFC FIRST Private and Hurun India Top 200 Self-made Entrepreneurs of the Millennia list. The latest rankings point to the growing influence of technology led consumer brands, while earlier leaders Razorpay and Zerodha slipped out of the Top 10, signalling a change in the country’s wealth creation hierarchy.

Bengaluru led the list with 88 entrepreneurs, including Harshil Mathur of Razorpay, Nikhil Kamath of Zerodha and Harsh Jain of Groww.
