In a significant leadership transition, Kotak Mahindra Bank has promoted Paritosh Kashyap to the role of Executive Director, pending necessary regulatory approvals. This move comes alongside the announcement of the upcoming retirement of Shanti Ekambaram, the bank’s Deputy Managing Director, who will conclude her illustrious journey with the organisation on October 31, 2025.
Paritosh Kashyap, a seasoned banking professional, has been with the Kotak Mahindra Group for nearly thirty years. Currently serving as Group President and leading the Wholesale Banking Group since 2022, Kashyap has played a key role in shaping the bank’s wholesale strategy. His leadership has spanned across critical verticals including corporate banking, structured finance, infrastructure lending, trade and transaction services, securitisation, and capital structuring advisory.
Over the decades, he has worked closely with corporates, NBFCs, financial institutions, and banks, offering solutions that have significantly contributed to the bank’s wholesale operations and broader financial footprint.
Meanwhile, Shanti Ekambaram, a cornerstone of the Kotak family since 1991, is preparing to bid farewell after more than three decades of dedicated service. Widely respected for her vision and strategic depth, Ekambaram has been instrumental in the bank’s transformation and growth journey.
